Dear St Thomas Aquinas Community,
I hope this message finds you well. Last Thursday evening, our school community came alive with energy and creativity during the wonderful dance event. It was heart-warming to see our students enjoying themselves, showcasing their talents, and engaging with one another. I would like to extend my heartfelt thanks to the dedicated parents, staff, and volunteers who worked tirelessly to make this event a success. Your support truly enriches our school community.
I also want to congratulate all our students who participated in the Tournament of the Minds at ANU last weekend. Your hard work, teamwork, and creativity were on full display, and we are incredibly proud of your achievements.
As a reminder, we will be holding a Learning Journey in all classrooms this afternoon from 3:30 PM to 5:00 PM. This is a wonderful opportunity for you to engage with your child's learning and see the progress they have made this term. We look forward to welcoming you into our classrooms.
This coming Thursday, 12 September 2024 is R U OK? Day. Students are encouraged to wear yellow and we will be discussing the need to check in with each other. Student will participate in activities to help them develop the knowledge on what it means to be a good friend and how to check in with one another.
Thank you for your ongoing support and commitment to our school community.
Warm regards,
Tim Cleary

Tournament of Minds
Over the past 6 weeks 14 clever Year 5 and Year 6 students joined Tournament of the Minds and have been working tirelessly with Mrs Wicks and Mrs Olsen to work on a challenge. They have learnt many new skills including team work, problem solving and thinking outside of the box.
The Social Science team had to imagine the continents had re-joined and their task was to creatively explain what impact this had on countries around the world. The members of this team are Grace Speirs, Estelle Wynack, Natalia Orellana, Lazarus Fuller, Harper Eddey, Emily McLeod and Alice Sutton.
The Arts Team had to pick a member from the community and share their life story through song and dance and they selected the lovely Miss Barry. The members of this team are Maeve Jean, Milly Wicks, Beau Ryan, Elizabeth Hobden, Rohi Bhatia, Edison Black and Luella Black.
Both teams had to present at the ANU over the weekend to a room full of people including judges and other schools. They didn't let their nerves get in the way and they both got wonderful feedback about their creativity, team work and TOM spirit. Congratulations students and well done!
Please join us at our assembly on Friday at 2pm to celebrate our Class Award & White token recipients
