Dear Parents and Guardians,
I hope this newsletter finds you well as we approach the end of Term 2. I wanted to take a moment to acknowledge the hard work and dedication of our staff, who have continued to provide exceptional education and support to our students throughout the term. Their commitment to our school community is truly commendable, and we are grateful for their efforts.
I would also like to extend a heartfelt thank you to all the parents who attended the three-way conferences last week. Your active participation in these conferences is a testament to your commitment to your child's education. The opportunity to collaborate and discuss your child's progress with the teachers is invaluable, and we appreciate your engagement in this important process.
School Reports for Semester 1 were sent out yesterday via the Compass Parent Portal. Please ensure you log in to retrieve the report. It is essential that you download or print a copy for future reference. For those students who received an Alternate Format Report, these were sent home with students yesterday.
As we head into the final week of term, I would like to highlight some important events that will be taking place. This Friday, we are honoured to have Archbishop Christopher Prowse joining us to concelebrate mass at 9:30am in the Church, as we come together to celebrate our Feast Day. It will be a special occasion to strengthen our faith and celebrate the values that St Thomas Aquinas Primary School holds dear.
In addition to the mass, we have planned the Principal's White Token Lunch, where students who have earnt their White Token will have the opportunity to enjoy a special meal together. Following lunch, there will be a full school assembly where we will recognize and celebrate various achievements and milestones of our students.
I encourage all families to join us in these events and celebrate the achievements of our students and the vibrant community of St Thomas Aquinas Primary School.
Thank you once again for your continued support and involvement in our school community. With this Friday, 5 July 2024 being the last day of school for all students, I would like to wish you a restful and enjoyable term break ahead. Students will resume on Tuesday, 23 July 2024.
Warmly,

Students will be engaged in special activities after Mass, exploring their knowledge of St Thomas Aquinas and joining in some fun games. The day will conclude with our usual Week 10 Assembly in the Hall.
Parish Life

Parents and children need to attend this key preparation event. It will be held in St Thomas Aquinas Church from 6-7pm. Attendance is also required at the Presentation Mass on Saturday 27th July at 6:00pm. The second Formation Session will be on Thursday 1st August 6-7pm. Safer online gaming
Make gaming a safe and enjoyable part of family life, by learning about:
- setting up games so they are safe
- making friends in games
- reporting issues in games.
Over the following weeks we will be sharing an Anxiety series from the ACT Government Department of Education for supporting an anxious child for families. We hope you find this series helpful.
Students are introduced to new Ngunnawal vocabulary weekly. Special thanks to Miss Evans for continuing our learning of our Ngunnawal Country.
