Dear Members of the Community,
I hope this message finds you well. On behalf of the entire school community, I wanted to extend a heartfelt thank you to each and every one of you for making our fete on Saturday a tremendous success.
The support and enthusiasm displayed by our community members is truly overwhelming. From the generous donations to the countless volunteer hours, your contributions helped create a vibrant and joyful atmosphere that everyone enjoyed.
We would like to express our deepest gratitude to all the volunteers who dedicated their time and energy to ensure the smooth running of the event. Your commitment and hard work were instrumental in making the fete a memorable event for all attendees.
A special thank you goes out to our sponsors, without whom this event would not have been possible. Your generosity and support are deeply appreciated, and we are grateful for your commitment to our school and community. We encourage you to support our Fete sponsors in any way that you can. A special mention to ACT Recycling and Ginninderry who were our platinum major sponsors for the event.
We would also like to acknowledge the efforts of our students and staff who put in countless hours of preparation and planning to make the fete a success. Their creativity, enthusiasm, and dedication were truly inspiring and added an extra spark to the event.
The fete was not only a celebration of our school community but also an opportunity for us to come together, forge new connections, and strengthen existing ones. We were thrilled to see families, friends, and neighbours enjoying the various activities, delicious food, and live entertainment throughout the day. It is very pleasing to see the Fete Committee grow in numbers each year. A special thank you to Lisa McLeod & Mel Roberts who shared the role of Fete Coordinators.
Lastly, we would like to thank each and every one of you who attended the fete. Your presence and support made a significant impact, and we are truly grateful for your continued support of our school.
We don’t have final numbers as yet however it does look to be our most successful fete on record. It is hoped that funds raised will be put towards further upgrades to the courts and our outdoor facilities.
Once again, thank you for your incredible support and for helping us make the fete a resounding success. We are truly fortunate to have such a wonderful and supportive community.
As a Catholic school we are dedicated to the Liturgical life of the Church and to understanding how we live the message of Jesus. This is most important at Easter.
What is Holy Week?
Holy Week is an important time for Christians throughout the world. Holy Week, the final week of Lent, begins on Palm Sunday, the Sunday before Easter. Holy Week is a time when Catholics gather to remember and participate in the Passion of Jesus Christ. The Passion was the final period of Christ’s life in Jerusalem. It spans from when He arrived in Jerusalem to when He was crucified.
How Do Catholics Celebrate Holy Week?
Four special ceremonies commemorate the events of Christ’s Passion from His entrance into Jerusalem, when palm branches were placed in His path, through His arrest on Holy Thursday and Crucifixion on Good Friday, to Holy Saturday, the day that Christ’s body lay in the tomb.
The summit of the Liturgical Year is the Easter Triduum—from the evening of Holy Thursday to the evening of Easter Sunday. Though chronologically three days, they are liturgically one day unfolding for us the unity of Christ’s Paschal Mystery.
The single celebration of the Triduum marks the end of the Lenten season, and leads to the Mass of the Resurrection of the Lord at the Easter Vigil.
The liturgical services that take place during the Triduum are:
- Mass of the Lord’s Supper
- Good Friday of the Lord’s Passion
- Mass of the Resurrection of the Lord
God bless,

Some families will have noticed that we have implemented a new safety feature on our front office doors. To exit the front office doors you will now need to press the green button to the right on the brick wall and then simply push the glass door to exit. There is no need to turn the door handle to exit. Entry remains the same, using the door handle.
Students are introduced to new Ngunnawal vocabulary weekly. Special thanks to Miss Evans for continuing our learning of our Ngunnawal Country.
