Acting Principal's Report

Welcome to Week 8.

Can you believe that we only have 12 days of school left for the year? I know the teachers can’t!

A reminder to families that our last day of school for the year is Thursday, 19 December.

There is NO school on Friday 20th December, the Front Office will also be closed.  OSH is available for holiday bookings.

Assembly

Our last assembly for the year will be on Friday, 13 December 2019 at 12:45pm.  Principal Awards and Quiet Achiever Awards will be presented at this Assembly.

The Amazing Adventures of Superstan

Last week we had the culmination of many, many hours of work and practise with our matinee and night performance of ‘The Amazing Adventure of Superstan’.

It was a such an exciting and fun day for the students and our evening performance at St Francis Xavier College was brilliant! Thank you again to SFX, their staff and students for allowing us to use their theatre and helping us on the night, particularly Mr D'Argeavel, Dad of Sebastian in Year 3, who volunteered his time for free.

A HUGE thanks you to all of our students for the singing, dancing and acting skills. Thank you also to all of our amazing staff for all of their preparation and work behind the scenes in helping to make our musical such a success.

Our musical would never have happened at all without the vision and hard work of Mrs Naomi Wicks. Mrs Wicks worked tirelessly before and after school and in her own time sourcing props and costumes, meeting with SFX and school staff to ensure we were prepared and ready for an amazing show. So, thank you Mrs Wicks.

Thank you also for your support as families and friends, the kids were so excited to perform for you and have the chance to take part and show their talents.

STA Choir Performance

Tomorrow our STA Choir will be performing at Parliament House. They have been practising very hard and learning some new songs for this very special performance.

Thank you to Mr Prosper, our resident Choir Master, who has been preparing the children and will be accompanying them to Parliament House tomorrow.

Giving Mass and Thank You Morning Tea

A reminder that our Giving Mass is this Thursday at 9:30am. Thank you to those families who have already donated towards this worthy cause of helping families in our community celebrate a joyous Christmas. Mass will be followed by our Thank You Morning Tea for any volunteers who have helped out anywhere across our school this year.

We appreciate your support and our school needs this partnership between school and home to help our children to thrive and grow. We look forward to sharing a cuppa with you in the Fr Drinkwater Resource Centre.

God bless and have a good week,
