Dear Fratelli Tutti, (my brothers and sisters)

As we approach the final weeks of this term and reflect on the year that has flown by, I want to take a moment to express our gratitude for your ongoing support and dedication to our school community.

This term, we have had the wonderful opportunity to work closely with our incoming Principal, Matthew Garton, as we plan for 2025. Matthew has shared his great excitement and anticipation about joining our vibrant community, and it has been a pleasure to collaborate with him. Thank you for the warm welcome you have extended to Matthew; your kindness truly embodies the spirit of St Thomas Aquinas.

As we reflect on the positive learning experiences we have shared this year, let’s continue to work together and communicate openly with our teachers and one another. Your engagement plays a crucial role in ensuring that we make the most of the remaining weeks and that we finish the year on a high note.

In December this year, we will join the celebrations in our Catholic faith throughout the world (church universal) and celebrate the Jubilee Year of Hope – which extends from December 2024 until December 2025. During this time, we are asked as the faithful to bring hope to the world through forgiveness and solidarity in our daily lives. Pope Francis says, “Hope does not disappoint” so in all our relationships and dreams let us always insist on walking together in a positive way, with an attitude and ability to “give, to offer, to participate, to put into practice concrete signs of hope.”

Thank you once again for your support and commitment to our school. Let’s keep the momentum going as we approach the end of the year!
