Religious Education
Religious Curriculum at St Thomas Aquinas
In Year Two students have been learning about how the actions of individuals and societies reflect the beliefs and values of their role models. They have looked at Jesus’ teachings and his healings and compared them to how people in our own community look after each other. Take some time to notice this week, who are good role models in your own life? How do you model Jesus’ actions and teachings?

Mission Month
A huge thank you to everyone for your generous support of our Mission Fete last Friday. We have raised in excess of $1200 for Catholic Mission and had so much fun too! A huge thank you to everyone for the support to make this day such a success.
All Saints Day
Our whole school attended Mass last Friday to celebrate All Saints Day. This special day in the Church liturgical calendar celebrates those saints known to us for their close connection with Jesus and the way they lived their lives to inspire us. Our own St Thomas Aquinas inspires us to come to know Jesus through learning and prayer.
Christmas Appeal
This year we are hoping to contribute much needed food items to support those in our community who may find the financial aspect of Christmas challenging. We are working with St Vincent de Paul to collect items for Christmas Hampers. Below you will see a list of suggested items to be brought in with different grade levels being responsible for different items. All donations will be presented to St Vincent de Paul at our final whole school Mass on Thursday 5th December. Please send these non-perishable food/drinks into your child’s class where they will be kept until this Mass. Thank you in advance for the generosity this school community is known for.

Dignity Hamper
As part of our ongoing support of St Vincent de Paul and those in need in our own community we have established a new dignity hamper. Families are invited to donate to the hampers items to assist the homeless and those in need with hygiene items such as shampoo and conditioner, body wash or soap, deodorant, tampons and pads, incontinence aids and moisturizer. All donations can be place in the new cubes outside the Coordinators’ Office. These will be passed on to St Vincent de Paul as the cubes become full. Thank you in anticipation of your generous donations.
Parish Life
Our 50th Anniversary is this year and there will be a special Mass and BBQ to celebrate on Sunday 10th November. All families are invited to join in this day of celebrations and continue to build our well established parish-school bond. Special guests include the Archbishop and past priests. Please be sure to RSVP to the parish office to assist with catering the BBQ. Jubilee Mass registration - St. Thomas Aquinas Parish
