Religious Education
Religious Curriculum at St Thomas Aquinas
Year 4 are looking at how communities turn to God through times of conflict, challenge and change. Students will reflect on different communities over time, from first century Palestine, to the early Church in Australia and to our own community today and consider how Christ has been present for people of faith over time. This unit of work may provide families with an opportunity to reflect together on where Christ is in your family experience, especially in times of conflict, challenge and change.

Dignity Hamper
As part of our ongoing support of St Vincent de Paul and those in need in our own community we have established a new dignity hamper. Families are invited to donate to the hampers items to assist the homeless and those in need with hygiene items such as shampoo and conditioner, body wash or soap, deodorant, tampons and pads, incontinence aids and moisturizer. All donations can be place in the new cubes outside the Coordinators’ Office. These will be passed on to St Vincent de Paul as the cubes become full. Thank you in anticipation of your generous donations.
Mission Month
October is Mission Month for our Church. We reflect upon the generous work done around the world by our missionaries and find ways to support them practically. This year Catholic Mission are focusing on Mongolia and the work done through the Caring Center there. We will hold our annual Socktober activities at St Thomas Aquinas in support of Catholic Mission. On Friday 25th October 3 Green will lead us in prayer for Mission Month. We will also hold a Mission Fete on Friday 1st November – stay tuned for more details!
